Brand manuals

For our brand design class we had to look up an example of a brand manual. We had to do this because we're going to create one ourselves during the headphones project.

I found the brand manual of Facebook.

Our next assignment was to find a bad example of the usage of the brand in question.

I found this website that offers altered facebook icons for free. The site mentions at the top:

"You can use these free icons and png images for your photoshop design, documents, web sites, art projects or google presentations, powerpoint templates. Free icons png images that you can download to you computer and use in your designs."

Besides this obvious misusage of the facebook logo, they also made a mistake in the way the used the facebook logo in the actual "share this page" bar on the left. There's not enough space surrounding the logo and the logo features the iconic "F" encased by the logo's background. It should've been touching the edge of the blue background instead.
